How To Brighten a Dark Room

With the days getting darker earlier, you may be on the lookout for new ways to brighten up rooms and make them feel more like home. Whether it’s a living room, bedroom, or even an office, our tips will take you on a little journey to find the best way to light up your space with just a few simple changes!

Select Colors Purposefully | White paint naturally helps to reflect light, while pinks and light yellows add warmth to the room.

Utilize Mirrors | Use a mirror to reflect the light that enters the room. Place the mirror opposite of where natural light comes in so that it can bounce around the room.

Swap Out Curtains | Swap thick floor-length curtains for sheer curtains. Good quality sheer curtains will allow some light to still enter the room.

Add Layered Lighting | Add in multiple light sources, such as a combination of overhead lights, table lamps, sconces, and floor lamps.

Add Metallic Touches | Use reflective, metallic materials to reflect light. This can be anything from light fixtures to the legs of a coffee table, and decor.
